“What makes a Big Changer? Someone who is prepared to look at things differently”. These words, spoken by Beatrice York, Big Change Co-Founder, at last week’s Alumni Event really struck a chord as we look forward to STRIVE 2018.

Fresh perspectives lead to new ideas – which is why we’re thrilled that the Virgin STRIVE Challenge 2018 is sponsored by AKQA. With a purpose to create a better future, AKQA is an ideas and innovation company specialising in digital services and products. Their imaginative application of art and science to create global brand experiences requires them to think differently – just like we do. Twenty-five AKQA employees will join us on this year’s challenge and their creative approach to fundraising is already setting the bar high. Watch this space for more hints and tips.

This year the Virgin STRIVE Challenges aims to raise at least £1 million for Big Change to support brilliant, innovative ideas we believe will create a better future for young people in the UK. Like our friends at AKQA, the people behind these projects are brave enough to think differently and take action – and so are our Strivers.

In September an amazing group of entrepreneurs, thought leaders, disruptors, philanthropists, inspirational speakers, extraordinary young people and educational trailblazers will come together to push their limits because they believe in thinking differently. They will travel from the Southern point of Sardinia to the Summit of Mont Blanc, under human and sail power, to transform the way we support the next generation. With AKQA supporting and joining us, we know we’ll achieve amazing things.
